Data Visualization in Python

January 12-13, 1:00-4:00pm

$150 ($75 for students)

Taught by Michael Branicky, ScD, Co-Director of KDSC

Python has become the most popular coding language in data science. However, many of the default settings for visualization that make Python intuitive are not what is required for high-quality visualizations. This workshop will give participants skills in Python's visualization capabilities that allow them to make high-quality, meaningful visual analysis using classic Python libraries. The workshop will give participants a hands-on experience in basic principles for creating meaningful displays of quantitative and qualitative data to facilitate decision-making using data science techniques as part of the data project lifecycle.

This workshop will only be offered online, and may be combined with the online R workshop if there are insufficient registrations. Instructions regarding access to the virtual platform for the workshop will be provided to participants prior to the workshop date.
